

Lula E. Rickenberg, 85, of Napoleon, Ohio passed away September 24, 2013. She was born July 13, 1928 in Hamler, Ohio to the late Fred and Emilie Witte. She was the beloved wife of Walter Rickenberg for 65 years.
Lula attended the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene. She loved hosting family dinners and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, sewing and baking. She taught Sunday school at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, for many years, and worked for Napoleon Schools and Henry County Senior Center.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Walter; and her children, Carol (Michael) Mackin, Mary (Stewart) Wilkins, Grace Fronce, Jane (Richard) Crawford, Elizabeth “Beth” (Christopher) Moore, Jon Rickenberg, Christa (Shelby) Dawson, 13 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, Sherie Rickenberg (daughter–in-law) and siblings, Leonard Witte, twin brother Louis Witte, and Loretta Seedorf.
Lula was preceded in death by her son David, son-in-law Tom Fronce, and siblings Lorenz Witte and Lillian Fitzenreiter.
Visitation will be at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home Sunday September 29, 2013 between 4:00-7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 30, at the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene. Her final resting place will be in Glenwood Cemetery of Napoleon.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene Missions, Henry County Special Olympics, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
