

Born July 7, 1922 in Grelton, Ohio, the son of Charles and Hazel (Pope) Storch. He was formerly married to Julia Crum in 1944. On July 6, 1977 he married Luella Andrews and she preceded him in death.
Dick was a retired farmer. Dick also was a former truck driver for Trans Motors of Defiance and the Henry County Highway Dept. for 15 years, retiring in 1975. He was a WW II Navy veteran. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Holgate, Ohio. He was a life member, charter member and past commander of the VFW Post 8218, life member of AMVETS Post 1313 and a member of the Moose Lodge #788, all of Napoleon. He was a member of the American Legion Post 495, Ridgeville Corners, Ohio.
Surviving are two sons Richard (Esther) Storch Jr., Napoleon, Ohio, Gary (Cheryl) Storch, Napoleon, Ohio; two daughters Sandra (Gary) Knoll, Elizabeth, Colorado, Tari (Tim) Hockman, Hamler, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one brother Russell Storch, McClure, Ohio.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio, Rev. Jane Hillman, officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Memory Gardens, rural Defiance County, where military honors will be accorded by the joint area veteran’s posts.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m., where a VFW Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Memorial Fund or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
