
Thornton W. Leonard, 90, passed away at Bowling Green Care Center on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Born on November 4, 1922 to James and Anna (Cutlip) Leonard, he was an Army veteran of World War II. Thornton worked as a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and boating. He was a devoted grandfather and loved spending time with his family. Thornton will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Randal Leonard of Cincinnati, Ohio and Linda (Chip) Koehler of Bowling Green, Ohio; grandchildren, Trina (Chris) Holloway, Tanya Rutherford, Jed (Becky) Leonard, and Austin Neifer; great-grandchildren, Larkin, Kolton, Lexi, and Kiefer Holloway, Raegan and Ashton Rutherford, and Kenadie Leonard; as well as many nieces and nephews. Thornton was preceded in death by his wife, Marcile; son, Wallace Leonard; brothers, David and Don Leonard; and sister, Velva Hatcher.
Visitation will be held at Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, Ohio on Friday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Hoy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
