Adriana Tomassi

Adriana Blasetti Tomassi went home to be with her Lord on November 1st, 2019 at Homestead Manor, in Homestead Florida. Two days earlier she told her daughter, Diana, “I have a memo on me! I have to sleep tonight.” She died peacefully, with a smile on her face.

Adriana was born on October 1, 1936 in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of Italian immigrants, Augusto and Flavia Blasetti. She inherited their creativity and their passion for cooking. Adriana had a flair for making things beautiful, food, a table setting, her home, intricately crocheted tablecloths, her style (always in heels, almost to the very end!) Her beautiful piano playing often filled her home and brought joy to all who listened.

Adriana was a graduate of Miami Senior High School, class of 1954. She was married for 20 years to Joseph “Pino” Tomassi. They lived in Homestead, FL where together they raised their four children.

She is survived by those children, Theresa Tomassi Hilson and husband Robert (Coral Gables, FL), Diana Tomassi Hood and husband Michael (Homestead, FL), Samuel Joseph Tomassi (Homestead, FL), and Adriana Tomassi (Tampa, FL). She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Robert Hilson, Michelle Hilson, and Aidan Tomassi. Adriana was predeceased by her beloved sister, Maria Theresa Blasetti Givens. She will be remembered for her great and sacrificial love for them all, and for the song she has left in their hearts.
