I still can't believe this is true. Missed you. Gus

Alex was a big man with an even bigger heart, and I wish he and his family had lived closer so they and his brother and sister could have spent more time together.  We tend to put things off for some unspecified time in the future, but sometimes there's no better time than now to love and appreciate your family.

It's been a year, can't believe that all this true. Love you little brother. Gus

I new Alex for 30 years,we spoke daily and spent many days scavenging junkyards together. We built many cars and motorcycles together. He was my best friend in the world and the most kindest soul I have ever met. We both shared a passion for old cars and motorcycles and not a day went buy that we did not talk about them. 
My life is far more empty with out him and it saddens me to no end that he is gone and I can no longer call my best friend. Seeing all the things he  collected over the years being sold off brakes my heart as I no what they meant to him,but that is life and in the end all we have are the fond memories.  Rest in peace my good friend hope to see you again one day.  

my condolences go out to Alex's family,I haven't talked to him or seen him in years& for some reason I googled his name tonight&just found out he passed away,Alex always went out of his way to help me& my grandmother,I always would think of him&wonder what he was doing these days.RIP alex

Of course, having known Alex for many, many years through his brother and sister, Gus and Ingrid, I share your , and their loss. They as you must be also, are devastated.  Please know you and they, and his extended family of many friends, are in my prayers today and every day.

Alex Laas was a beloved member of my family and my fathers best friend for 40 years. I don't have the words to say how sad I am over his passing. Beloved by everyone he ever met, with a great happy attitude, he’s going to be missed for a very long time.
