

Mrs. Geraldine (Grandma Geri) Knauff Davis, age 79, of Homestead, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 14, 2019. She was born January 6, 1940, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Estel and Ellen Knauff.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Clarence Cecil Davis; six sisters; Georgeanne Allen, Judy Hanners, Bonna Puckett, Willadean Knauff, Leona Knauff, and Mary Knauff, and one brother; Sandford Knauff.
Geraldine led a long life of service. She was a public school teacher for over fifteen years, a Sunday School leader, Boy Scout Den Mother, Bowling League Secretary, and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Homestead. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching Marlins games and playing cards with her Single Women’s group.
Geraldine is survived by four sons, and one daughter-in-law, Samuel Wayne Davis (Melody) of Akron, Larry Brian Davis of Homestead, Bill Allen Davis of Homestead, and James Edward Davis of Live Oak; two daughters and two son-in-laws, Jeri Ellen Martinez (Luis) of Homestead and Regina Lynn Smith (Darryl) of Newnan; eight grandchildren, Melissa Marie Perkel, Sarah Elizabeth Hay (Mike), Jamie Catherine Mott (Josiah), Lisa Anne Davis (Lee), Raquel Michelle Odiete, Brittany Ann Davidson, Chase Alexander Bridwell and Amanda Chanel Bridwell; five great grandchildren; Anjanette Violeta Renee Diaz, Alison Anne Hay , Aaron David Hay , Dominic Xavier Odiete and Liam Robert Perkel, Oliver Marek Mott and Ethan Ryan Mott and two sisters, Carol Davis of Newark and Gloria Werner of Clarksville. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Visitation on Thursday, December 19 at the First Baptist Church of Homestead starting at 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Funeral Service Commencing at 12:30P.M, Pastor Joseph Friman officiating.
Following the Funeral Service, interment at the Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn Cemetery in Naranja.
A celebration of life will follow the burial at First Baptist Church of Homestead.
Geraldine’s family and church family will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to the First Baptist Church of Homestead youth department or Women on Mission would be appreciated.
