Hector Lugo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Héctor Lugo, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud veteran, who departed this life peacefully on October 15, 2025 at the age of 99 after a life filled with faith, service, and unconditional love.

Born in La Plata, Puerto Rico, Héctor was a man deeply rooted in his values—faith, family, and honor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, carrying with him the courage, discipline, and strength that would define the rest of his life.

After returning home from service, Héctor built a life grounded in love and devotion. For 36 years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved wife, Yolanda, a partnership that served as a shining example of commitment and unity. Together, they raised a beautiful family, and Héctor took great pride in being a guiding light, provider, and protector to those he loved most.

A man of unwavering faith, Héctor walked with God throughout every chapter of his life. His strong spiritual foundation inspired those around him, offering comfort, wisdom, and hope in both joyful and difficult times. His kind heart, warm smile, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who had the honor of knowing him.

Héctor’s legacy lives on through his cherished family, his acts of service, and the many lives he touched with compassion and grace. He will be remembered not only as a hero of war, but as a hero of everyday life—a man who loved deeply, served humbly, and lived faithfully.

He is survived by his loving wife Yolanda, his children, grandchildren, and extended family who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.

A celebration of Héctor Lugo’s life will be held on October 23, 2025 at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, with military honors to commemorate his service. All are welcome to attend and pay tribute to a life well lived.

A visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, located at 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL 33032, on October 23, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

A committal service will take place at the same venue on October 24, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
