

He was born on August 5, 1955 in Jeremie, Haiti, to Faustin Francois and Ornellie Nelson - both deceased. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a man whose life was defined by quiet strength, tireless work, and integrity.
His greatest joy came from simple things, such as spending time with his family and cooking for his loved ones. He worked tirelessly to give his family a better life, often putting the needs of others before his own.
He was known for his unwavering kindness and his incredible generosity of spirit. He was a constant source of support, guidance, and unconditional love to everyone around him. Whether he was offering a listening ear, giving practical advice, or just sharing a quiet moment, his presence was a grounding force in our lives. He embodied the principles of hard work, honesty, and compassion, and showed how vital family is and how much strength comes from supporting one another.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Dieunie Gaston Francois; his children, Jameson Francois, Alexandra Francois, Jimmy Francois, Orlie Francois, Shester Menelas, and Karlyl Francois; his grandchildren, Jameson Francois Jr., Samuel Jean Pierre, Jolie Major, and Esther Jean Pierre; his siblings, Sainta Francois (and her son), Irma Francois (and her daughter), Erez Francois (and her children), Edmond and Adeline Francois (and their children), and Nellie Francois (and her children); and a host of additional family members. He was preceded in death by Leon, Vania, Emilie, and Elvin Francois; their children survives him.
He worked with his hands, led with his heart, and left this world better than he found it. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, located at 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL, 33032, US. The visitation is scheduled for October 17, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
