William Roswell Graves

William R. Graves (Bill) passed away at his home in Leisure City, Fl on July 7, 2024. He was a Master Gardener and enjoyed growing and cooking exotic foods. He was a 1965 graduate of Coral Gables Sr. High and Florida Atlantic University in 1969. He loved nature and was a lifelong learner. Bill seemed to have an encyclopedic memory and spent many years diagnosing plant diseases at UF Institute of Food and Agriculture Research Station in Homestead. He was predeceased by his parents David and Celeste Graves of Coral Gables, FL and brother Alan Graves of Seattle, WA. Left to mourn his passing is sister Diana Steinberg (Gary)of Tallahassee, dear long time friend (more like a son) Yanni Athanasiadis of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law Marj Graf of Seattle, nephew Michael Steinberg (Alicia) of Crestview, FL, and nieces Jamie Tropepe and Angela Pinto (Josh) and their children, in Florida.

A committal service for William will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Naranja, FL 33032.
