

Alan Monas, Jr., 26 of Nashua, NH passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. He was born December 23, 1986 in Nashua, a son of Mona (Gravel) Monas and the late Alan Monas, Sr.
Alan graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 2004. He had a passion for motorcycles, just as his father, and he worked alongside his father at Motorcycles of Manchester for the past six years in the parts department. He was a skilled rider and very knowledgeable about many subjects regarding motorcycles. He liked helping people and was a kind, caring and compassionate person, an all-around good kid.
He is survived by his loving mother; Mona Monas and his step father; Steve Urquhart, Sr. of Nashua, his brother and best friend Steven Urquhart, Jr. of Nashua, his significant other; Shelby Toto of Nashua, his sisters; Kristen Monas Dalton and her husband Ed of Litchfield and Shelby Monas of Hudson, his nieces, Amber and Skyler Dalton, his step mother; Tammy Curran, his step brother; Craig Curran, his step sisters; Emma and Molly Urquhart, two cats; Snagglepuss (Basho) and Mittens. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Following cremation there were visiting hours on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 in honor of his father who passed away in February of this year, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 in honor of his niece Amber.
