Donald Dawley Jr.

Donald J. Dawley Jr., 57, of Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon NH on August 13, 2020 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Don was born in Wake County, N.C. to Donald J. Dawley Sr. and Essie Charlene Dawley. He was predeceased by his mother and his sister Susan M. Zaloga, of Houston TX.

Don was a lover of all things with wheels and motors. His career in the automotive industry began at 19 when he learned how to do body work. After 5 years, he transitioned into becoming an automotive mechanic, in which he dedicated the next 33 years. He was proud to be a custom exhaust expert and was always eager to help anyone with their automotive emergencies or mechanical questions. He adored his family and loved sharing stories of his younger years growing up with his sisters. More recently, Don loved spending time with his wife, Robyn, going for long drives to anywhere, walking the beach collecting seashells or enjoying a home cooked meal.

Don also loved spending time with his son Deven, in the garage under the hood of a car, four wheeling in the woods or watching the NASCAR races. He was undeniably loved by many friends and enjoyed helping with their automotive projects in his spare time.

Donald is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 11 years, Robyn Dawley;

his father Donald J. Dawley Sr. of Texas; his son David Dawley and his wife Heidi of Hawaii where he is currently serving in the US Army; daughter Samantha Robinson and her husband Michael of Virginia; son Deven Dawley of Hudson, NH; his sisters Regina Swafford of North Carolina; Tammy Clark of Texas; and Karen Sanchez and her husband Ruben of Texas; his mother-in-law Sandra Luther of California; brother-in-law Matthew Luther of Londonderry N.H.; three grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Don was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made in Donald’s name to the American Cancer Society.
