It is with deep sadness that James Paul Bradley, age 61, of Concord, NH, passed away suddenly on March 21, 2026. Born on September 2, 1964, in Tacoma Park, MD, to James Edward Bradley and Shirley Gail Bradley, James grew up with a love of learning, a sharp wit, and a curiosity about the world that stayed with him throughout his life. Those who knew him remember his intelligence, his dry sense of humor, and his remarkable ability to bring insight into every conversation.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in Business from Columbia Union College, James began his professional journey with positions at Manor Care, JE Smith, and M&M Appliance. He went on to build a distinguished 20-year career with Fisher & Paykel Appliances, where he was widely respected for his thoughtful management style and exceptional depth of product knowledge. His work with the company afforded him the opportunity to travel extensively across the country, including several years living in North Carolina and a time in California, before ultimately settling in New Hampshire—a place he spent summers in as a child and came to deeply love and call home.
James had a wide range of passions that reflected both his creativity and intellect. He was an accomplished cook who delighted in preparing meals from cuisines around the world, always eager to try something new and share it with others. Music was another lifelong love; he played the trumpet for many years, performing as part of both a brass band and a quintet, where his dedication and talent brought joy to those around him. A devoted student of history, James could often be found watching documentaries or exploring the stories behind how things are made.
He is survived by his fiancée, Stacey MacStravic; his daughter, Kathryn Bradley, and her partner, Ian Lavertue; Stacey’s daughters, Sabrina O’Keefe and her husband, Conor O’Keefe, and Danielle Simpson; his cherished grandchildren, Charlotte Whalen and Shannon and Shayne O’Keefe; his sisters, Janifer Smith and her husband, Rick, and Kari Minesinger and her husband, Ken; as well as his nieces and nephew, Joseph Smith, and Alexa and Madison Minesinger; and his beloved dog, Abby. He was predeceased by his parents, James Edward Bradley and Shirley Gail Bradley.
James will be remembered for his quick wit, keen intellect, generous heart, and the warmth he brought to all who knew him. A celebration of life and graveside burial will be planned for sometime this summer.
