

Laurette was born May 20, 1935 to the late Louis & Grace Tremblay of Nashua. She attended St Louis School and was a Majorette for the St Louis Drill Team. In 1957 Laurette married Donald C. Gillis of Nashua, NH formerly of Lowell Mass. She worked in nursing for several years at local hospitals in Nashua during the 1970’s. Then, together they opened a retail stereo store. She was president of CB 76 Club. They pursued their passion for fine jewelry and opened Gillis Jewelers of Nashua. During her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends making memories.
Mrs. Gillis was pre-deceased by her loving husband Donald in 1997. She is survived by 2 daughters: Deborah Stanford and Donna Gillis. 1 son-in-law: William A Stanford. 2 aunts: Blanche Belanger and Yvette McIntyre. 2 brothers: Maurice and Roland Tremblay. 1 sister-in-law: Irene Tremblay. 4 sisters: Beatrice Kerouac, Lorraine Brown, Annette Carter, Janette Parkinson. 1 brother-in-law: Rally Brown. And several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Laurette will be forever loved and dearly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday January 21 at 9:30 AM at St Louis Church, 48 West Hollis St., Nashua.
