

Lucille M. Theroux Coutu, 86, of Nashua, NH passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua. She was born January 1, 1927 in Manchester, NH, a daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Levasser) Provencher.
Mrs. Coutu worked for many years in the Register of Deeds office for Hillsborough County and eventually retired from there. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed having both her hair and nails done. The highlight of her week was her trips twice a week to the 99 restaurant with her daughter, where she often spent time with her friends as well. Mrs. Coutu was the classy, generous matriarch of her family who was always there for them and enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter; Louise McQuoid and her husband Edward, Sr. of Nashua, four grandchildren; Shannon Astin and her husband Ryan, Eddie McQuoid, Jr., Wendie Joyal and her husband Andrew and Joshua Burton and his wife Brandi. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Ashley McQuoid and Jordan, Courtney and Taylor Joyal, two sisters; Rita Blanchette of Florida and Pauline Moses of California and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband; Romeo Theroux, her second husband; Leo Coutu, her son; Robert Theroux and two sisters; Loretta Provencher and Norma Fralind.
Visiting hours were held Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9:30am Monday in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Interment followed in St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
