

Marilyn A. Mahon McCabe, 83, of Nashua, formerly of Tamworth, NH, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born in Lowell, MA on September 17, 1930, the daughter of John and Rose (Sheerin) Mahon.
She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Tyngsborough, MA and was employed at Lowell Gas and Light Co. Marilyn loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid Red Sox fan.
She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Mahon.
Members of her family include her husband of 63 years, William J. McCabe of Litchfield, her three daughters, Kathleen Lowrey and her husband Douglas of Spring Hill, FL, Ann Malburne and her husband Barry of Litchfield, and Cheryl McCabe-Charron and her husband John of Rindge, her five grandchildren, Eric Lowrey, John Lowrey, Meredith Malburne-Wade, Katelyn Charron, and Megan Charron as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday June 17 from 4 to 7 PM at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St. Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 18 at 11:00AM in St. Christopher Church 62 Manchester St. Nashua. Burial followed at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 1:30PM.
