Mary A. Ebel, 77 of Nashua, NH passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua. She was born in Mission Hill, MA on April 19, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Allen) Gildea.
Mrs. Ebel grew up in Mission Hill surrounded by her family and friends. She married Russell J. Ebel and together settled in Newton, MA to raise their family. There were always card parties on Friday nights and a house full of friends. She kept a warm and welcoming home and was like a second mother to many of her children’s friends. She is survived by a son; David R. Ebel and his wife Jane M. of Nashua, a daughter; Debra M. Ebel of Bellingham, MA and by four grandchildren; Nicole C. Ebel, Derek R. Hume, Kyle J. Hume and Jacqueline M. Ebel. She was predeceased by her husband; Russell J. Ebel in 1996, by two brothers; Hugh James Gildea and John G. Gildea, Jr. and by a sister; Catherine Francis Weinel.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10AM in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Cremation followed.
