Ronald E. Surdam

Ronald E. Surdam, 67, of Milford, NH passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in the Southern NH Medical Center, Nashua, NH. He was born March 3, 1944 in Hudson Falls, NY, the son of the late Kester and Barbara (Crosby) Surdam.

Mr. Surdam was a long time Nashua resident. He enjoyed working in his yard and mowing his lawn. He also loved fishing, from trout fishing to ice fishing and participating in the Lake Winnipesaukee ice fishing derby. There was a special place in his heart for his dogs and was a fan of the local New England sports teams like the Red Sox and Patriots. Mr. Surdam was a loving family man who would do anything he could to help others in need.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 48 years; Sandra L. Surdam of Milford, two sons; Timothy E. Surdam and his wife Kendra of Nashua and Shannon W. Surdam and his wife Judith of Greenfield, NH, a daughter; Tammy L. Gilbody of Milford, five grandchildren, a great-grandchild and is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting hours were held from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A funeral service was celebrated at 10:00am Friday, September 2, 2011 in the funeral home with followed by cremation.
