Barbara Pauline Hillenburg Hatchett, 87, of Nashville passed away Thursday January 7, 2021 in her home with family at her side. She was born July 12, 1933 in Monroe County to Murl Hillenburg and Ethel “Marie” Prince Hillenburg. She had worked at Sarkes Tarzian, IGA, RCA, Cummins Engine and Indiana Universtiy. Survivors include two sons, Andrew “Andy” W. (Paula) Hatchett, Jr of Bloomington and Kevin Dee Hatchett of Nashville; four daughters, Susan Kay “Suzi” Terrell of Springville, Merry Lou Milne of Okeechobee, FL, Sherry Lou (Junior) Fish of Norman and Thelma Joann Moore of Nashville; a brother, Morris Hillenburg; 25 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Andrew Wesley “Bud” Hatchett, Sr.; two daughters, Kathy Lynn Hatchett and Ina Marie Eads; a grandson, Raymond Louis “Trey” King III; two great granddaughters, Hanna Faith Phillips and Eleanor Brooke Webb; and three sisters, Thelma Stewart, Dorothy Deckard and Patty Hess. Barbara had attended Duncan Christian Community Center and was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Diesel Workers Union. She enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting. There will be a private family only graveside service in Duncan Cemetery with Pastor Hurschell Joslin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home.
