She is survived by her loving husband, Allan Rhoades; her son, Joshua Dillon (Jaymee) Rhoades; her stepson, William Allan (Amanda) Rhoades; her granddaughter, Mariah Rhoades; her brother, Tom (Tammy) Smith; her parents, Pamela (Richard) Pratt and Charles Smith; and great number of uncles, aunts, and cousins; and many friends.
Barbara had a big personality. She would make friends wherever she went and wanted everyone to be happy. Family was top priority for her. Barbara always made a point to check in on her loved ones with frequent phone calls and visits. She was very close with her grandparents, especially her grandmothers, Jane Smith and Barbara Emigh Wentz. She also cared deeply for the elderly and was a caregiver; not only to her grandmother, Barbara Wentz, but also to a friend, Helen Mcjilton. Barbara enjoyed cooking, baking, and raising yorkies. In fact, she was so passionate about the yorkies she raised, Barbara would often check in with the families who adopted her dogs years after they were born. Barbara was a follower of Christ.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on October 8th, 2022 at Camby Community Church (8604 Camby Road, Camby, IN 46113) at 11am.
