Lawrence "Larry" Franklin Gehbauer Jr.

Lawrence Franklin “Larry” Gehbauer, Jr., age 84, of Nashville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 in Nashville. Born September 5, 1940 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Lawrence F. Gehbauer, Sr. and Armenta (Deibel) Gehbauer Cleveland. Prior to retirement, Larry was employed as a Union Sheet Metal Worker with Indianapolis Local #20. He enjoyed making stained glass art objects, working in his yard and volunteering and being a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville. He also was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Doll) Gehbauer, of Nashville, two sons, John (Jodie) Gehbauer and Jim Gehbauer, both of Martinsville, Indiana; four step-children, Richard Burns, Michele Burns, Kevin (Melissa) Burns, and William Burns, all of Indianapolis, one sister, Sue (Bob) Stephan, of South Bend, Indiana, one brother, Tom (Ronna Clark) Cleveland, of Ocala, Florida, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Miller) Gehbauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis at 1:30 p.m. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home; 1682 St. Rd. 135 North; Nashville from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
