Mary Ann Stuart

Mary Ann is preceded in death by husband Peter G. Stuart, her second husband, Bill Hornett, & her brother Michael Matovina. She is survived by her children, Mary Beth Gadus (Mike), Lynn Alexander (Dale), Bruce Stuart, Grant Stuart (Kristy), Bill Stuart (Peggi), thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, & four sisters.

Pete & Mary Ann founded their family business together in 1973 in Greencastle, IN & later expanded to eight stores in Indianapolis, Nashville, IN, & Hilton Head, SC.

She immensely enjoyed playing bridge & golf with her friends. She baked cookies for just about everyone she came into contact with & was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady”.

Visitation will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville, In on Monday September 9 at 10:00 A.M. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. A lunch reception will follow.
