

Alton was born on January 29, 1932 in Nashville, TN to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Caldwell Lincoln.
Alton graduated High School and continued his education with four years at a trade school prior to marrying the love of his life, Peggy on April 3, 1952 in Nashville. Alton was an electrician by trade, but loved to watch and coach baseball throughout his life. He was a member of the IBEW Local 429 for 65 years as well as a member of Judson Baptist Church. He loved his family and anything that involved being with them.
Alton is survived by his sons, Ray (JoElyn) and Scott (Valerie); 8 Grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Alton is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Peggy; daughters, Tina and Cherie; and 8 brothers and sisters.
Mr. Alton Lincoln was very proud when the John Overton High Baseball field house was dedicated to him.
A gathering of family and friends for Alton will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family and friends will occur prior to the service Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A celebration of life for Alton will follow visitation on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
