

With heavy hearts and unimaginable grief, we make known that Ann Margaret Still, 59, of Donelson, Tennessee has passed from this life to her eternal one on March 30, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas on May 7, 1965, to parents, Merle and Olga Lucas.
Ann grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her mother and grandparents. She graduated from Daniel Webster High School, Class of 1983. Following high school, she attended the University of Oklahoma from 1983 – 1988. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Obstetrics, with Great Distinction maintaining a perfect grade point average of 4.0.
Ann worked for eighteen years with TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital (1988 – 2006). Since 2006, she has worked at Nashville General Hospital where she accomplished the greatest work of her career working with hundreds of residents, doctors, nurses, and compassionately advocating for thousands of patients.
Ann and Alan Still fell deeply in love and were married in Cabo San Lucas on July 7, 2001. Together, they shared unconditional love for one another and devotion to their family. Ann’s pride and joy was their son, Marshall. Together, they endured endless nights of homework and study from grade school throughout high school. Without failure, she kept Marshall on the right path while allowing him to hold his independence and self-determination.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Merle Wood and Olga Dean (Scherffius) Lucas; and father- and mother-in-law, Thomas Frederick and Jewel Helen Still. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-four years, Alan Jay Still; and her son, Marshall Lucas Still.
There will be a Gathering of Family & Friends at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Thursday, April 3, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. There will also be a time of visitation at West End United Methodist Church, 2200 West End Avenue, Nashville, on Friday, April 4, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The visitation will be followed by a Celebration of Ann’s life at the church beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Stacey Harwell-Dye officiating. There will be a private burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Kingsport, Tennessee, on Monday, April 7.
