Sandra & family...what a shock to read about Rusty.  Very sad news.  Our farms were next to each other & I used to walk thru the cornfields over to his place ..we were in grade school together in Cornell & rode the same bus.  I always considered him a friend.  A nice-nice guy.

I knew not one person when we moved to the Nashville area 16 years ago.  My boss, Buck Droppa, suggested calling Art who had once worked for him.  Art responded immediately and helped me find and open my first office. He then introduced me around town opening many doors for me and helping get my business up and running.  Over the years we enjoyed many rounds of golf together.   Art was as fine a friend a man can find in this life and will truly be missed.

When God created Art, he broke the mold.  Art was definitely unique.  He had a way of making you laugh with his ever present shananagans. I worked with Art and knew him well.  He had a great love for life and family and went about his day with energy to spare.  He will be missed. We offer our thoughts and prayers to his family.

Art Willard, I remember a happy, energetic, funny man. I do not remember in all the years that I knew him I never saw him sitting. Instead he was busy with something, singing, whistling, or reminding me and Kristi what we should have done and what we did't do. Of course we were in our teens during these times so there was plenty that we did't do and should have probably done. I remember the times he cooked me and Kristi frog legs and we were screaming watching them jump around in the pan, we ate them with him and they were very good, never had them since that day but we sure ate them then. Picking up sticks from the yard, this was a big one for Art, had to pick up all the sticks out of the yard before he mowed, I understand why now, but then we were like just run over them with the lawn mower! I remember most driving him nuts with not wiping out the shower when we finished, he would come get us from downstairs or outside and we were wiping down that shower, I understand why now because it is just what you do when you are finished, but then, heck we did not care we were 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, I grew up with this family and they were some of my best times. I will miss you Art. You leave me with a smile in my heart.
