

Barbara Massey Rogers, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on September 3,2025. Affectionately known as “Mimi” to her children and grandchildren, her greatest treasures, Barbara prioritized her faith in Jesus Christ, love of family, and cherished friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack C. Massey and Elizabeth Massey, brother Don Massey, and the love of her life, Doyle Rogers of Palm Beach, FL.
Barbara is survived by her children and their spouses, Dan and Kristin Clark, Beth and Marty Poe, Sean and Tavenner Rogers, and Rachel and David Supple. She leaves behind eight grandchildren who deeply loved her, Morgan and Kendall Clark, Marty and Jack Poe, William, Nicola, and Kate Rogers, and Laing Supple, sister-in law Yvonne Christopher, nephew Jack and Jennifer Massey, numerous cousins, and extended family Annette Crocker and Hope Lacayo.
Born in 1938 in Nashville, TN., Barbara graduated from Harpeth Hall School and Vanderbilt University where she loved playing sports, especially tennis. She was a lifelong philanthropist who touched many lives both in Nashville and Palm Beach, Fl. She served on numerous boards including HCA, Harpeth Hall School, Hanley Hazelden of Palm Beach, United Way, the Jack C. Massey Foundation, and Belmont University where she served as a Trustee since 1996 and was a leader in the conceptualization of the Belmont Law School. Barbara was a member of various clubs, cherishing her time in the Palm Beach Garden Club. She had a great love of life including traveling with her family, playing cards with her grandchildren (where she never let them win), spending time on the lake, and especially dancing and fly-fishing with her husband Doyle.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and love to all that cared for and comforted Barbara in the last few years. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her endless generosity, boundless energy, and deep love for her family who will cherish all the memories and many ways she impacted their lives.
Friends are cordially invited to the Belmont University McAfee Concert Hall on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. for Visitation followed by a Celebration of Life and Resurrection of Barbara Massey Rogers at 11 a.m. Private graveside service will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
