Bettie K. Dunn

Mrs. Dunn worked as a bookkeeper before devoting herself to her husband and children. Mrs. Dunn enjoyed a lifelong love of reading, and was a frequent visitor to the public library. She was an avid crossword puzzler and enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. She also found great joy and comfort in her church, Woodson Chapel Church of Christ.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband of 71 years, Harry; her three children Dr. Dale R. Dunn (Brenda), Douglas L. Dunn (Jennifer), and Melinda K. Dunn; and her two granddaughters, Rachel L. and Sarah R. Dunn. She is also lovingly remembered by her special nieces Harriet Kimbro and Emily Caroline Atchison, as well as other dear nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dunn was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ida, twin sister Nettie Rae (Dearing) Hollan (Wilmington, NC), and older sister Emily Mae (Dearing) Newberry (Bowling Green, KY).

Mrs. Dunn was faithfully served by Cura For Care Senior Services in her final years. Her family would like to thank our incredible network of family and caregivers for their unwavering support. You never missed a beat!

Arrangements and services for Mrs. Dunn will be conducted by Woodlawn Roesch-Patton, Thompson Lane, Nashville. Visitation 5:30-8:00 pm Monday, April 26 and 12:00-1:00 pm Tuesday, April 27. Funeral service Tuesday, April 27, 1:00 pm. The Al Menah Shrine Legion of Honor will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Mrs. Dunn may make donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Nashville Public Libraries, or other charity in her name.
