Mrs. Briggs worked at the Tennessee school for the Blind for 26 years. She then worked at Opryland Hotel and also volunteered at a Flying Ace at Nashville International Airport.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (Larry) Bradshaw and daughter in law Denise Briggs; four grandchildren, there great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Briggs is preceded in death by her son William "Bill" Briggs.
Gathering of family and friends Thursday July 20, 2023 from 10:00am -1:00pm at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home. Graveside service 3:00pm at Mountain View Cemetery 209 Mountain Street McMinnville, TN.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the Nashville Humane Society.
