

Betty Faye Hunt, age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on September 26, 2025. Born on February 1, 1944, in Nashville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Reginal Darrow and Dorothy Darrow. Betty was preceded in death by her dear sister, Dorothy Jean VanDolen.
Betty dedicated over 30 years of her life to serving in government law as a respected court reporter, where her professionalism and keen attention to detail left a lasting impression. A devoted member of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ, she found strength and comfort in her faith throughout her life.
Betty’s vibrant spirit was expressed through her many passions: she was an avid gardener, a devoted fan of Vanderbilt sports, and enjoyed the tranquility of fishing. She also had a deep appreciation for antiques, often delighting in the stories they held.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Tonya Crownover (Gerry); cherished grandchildren, Taylor Holmes and Carly Crownover; her brother, Paul Darrow; as well as niece Melanie Sweeney and nephews Stephen Darrow, Vincent VanDolen and Terry VanDolen.
Family and friends are invited to honor Betty’s life a visitation will be held October 3rd, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home, with burial to take place afterward at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Betty’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to those she loved will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
