In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James William (Bill) McInturff who passed away in 2011 and sister, Katie Frensley.
She is survived by her son, James William (Billy) McInturff, Jr.; daughter, Catherine Lynn Williams, son-in-law, Foy Williams, sister, Mary Lynn Fussell, brother, Van Gilmore and several nieces and nephews.
Betty worked as a secretary for several local companies in her young years. She worked as secretary to the late Bill Monroe and Monroe Enterprises until she retired. She and her husband loved all music, and had a small record label, as a side business called Comet Goldmont Records. They has been members of the Country Music Association, R.O.P.E., Music City Marine Corp League and Marine Corp League Auxiliary.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from four o'clock until seven o'clock in the evening on Sunday, the 6th of June at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at eleven thirty in the morning on Monday, the 7th of June with a Gathering of Family and Friends one hour prior. Interment will immediately follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
