He is preceded in death by his father, William Finley Bruster, his mother, Helen Trousdale Parker and his loving wife of 55 years, Bettye Gray Lynch Bruster.
Bill was born in Dickson, TN on November 20, 1930 and remained there until meeting his future bride at which time he moved to Nashville. He was a proud graduate of Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana; Class of 1948. He served in the Tennessee Air National Guard and was called into active duty, state-side, during the Korean War. Bill retired from Horace Small Manufacturing Co. in Nashville, TN and was a faithful member of the Belle Meade United Methodist Church congregation for more than 50 years.
Mr. Bruster is survived by his sons, David (Evi) Bruster of Nashville and Tony (Michelle) Bruster of Murfreesboro; and his grandchildren, T.J., Prentis, Finn and Leni Bruster.
A Memorial Service will be held at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 5th of January, 2015 at Belle Meade United Methodist Church with visitation held two hours prior to the service.
