Joyce graduated from Clarksville High School and attended Austin Peay State University. She married Rick C. Tanley on September 1, 1991 in Nashville, Tennessee. Joyce had a career in patient accounting at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for over 30 years. she had a passion for scuba diving, gardening, dancing, reading and tending to animals.
Joyce was survived by her husband, Rick C. Tanley; her brother, William Carl (Vicki) Davenport and a host of other relatives.
A gathering of family & friends for Joyce will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside service will occur Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
