

Brenda was born on October 16, 1947, in Paris, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents Bonnie Lee Townley and Eula Lee Rogers Townley and her brother, Robert Allen Townley.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Thomas R. Lewis, and her two daughters, Sandra (Bert) Lamb and Donna Lee Hargrove. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Alan Thomas (Natasha) Hargrove, Tara Hargrove (Blake) Ransdell, Spencer Lee Stroman and Parker Gregory Stroman, as well as four nieces; three great-grandchildren and three sisters-in-law. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend—roles she embraced with warmth and unwavering dedication.
Known for her deep love of books and animals, Brenda found joy in the quiet pleasures of life. She enjoyed reading for hours on end, often surrounded by the comforting presence of a four-legged companion. Her appreciation for nature was evident in her fondness for gardening, feeding birds, camping and otherwise spending time outdoors. These simple joys reflected her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature.
Brenda was also a loyal friend whose presence brought comfort to those around her. Her ability to listen with compassion and offer support made her a cherished part of many lives.
The family would like to express deep appreciation and gratitude to the caregivers at Brookdale Belle Meade who provided excellent care to Brenda as well as loving support to the family during their time of need.
A funeral service honoring Brenda’s life will be held at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, July 12, 2025. The family will receive friends between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., with a celebration of life service to follow.
