

EVERHART, Calvin H. age 84 passed away January 11, 2012. Preceded in death by son, Richard Everhart; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baxter O. Everhart; brother, Dale Everhart; sisters, Sara Penny and Marie Crouse. Survived by his wife Imelda “Jo”; daughters, Karen (Ron) Brown of Franklin, TN, Gina (John) Hurt of Nashville; granddaughters, Jessica (Michael) Johnson, Shera Slaughter and Tori Hurt; step granddaughters, Wendy (Tom) Clark, Christie (David) Stilwill; step grandson, Eric Brown; eight step great grandchildren, one great granddaughter; sister, Mildred Whisnant of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Mitchell (Betty ) Everhart of Winston Salem, NC; sister-in-laws, Connie Daugherty, Mrs. Celeste Norman and Mrs. Barbara Rottero; nieces, nephews and many close friends. Mr. Everhart served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and witnessed the atomic bomb drop on Bikini. He was in the music business several years, being at RCA as studio manager under Chet Atkins. He operated his own golf repair business until he retired in 1992. A Funeral Mass will be conducted twelve noon on Saturday January 14, 2012 at Christ The King Church with burial afterwards at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Cemetery in Joelton, TN. Serving as active Pallbearers will be Ron Brown, John Hurt, Eric Brown, Terry Bagsby, Bob Wright, Carl Parsons, Michael Johnson and John Norman. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer’s Association or Alive Hospice.
