Carl Lee Taylor, a lifelong resident of Nashville, TN, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Summit Medical Center at age 52 after a battle with cancer. He was born on December 26, 1964 in Nashville, TN to the late Elvis and Dorothy (Lane) Taylor. Carl was married to Anita (Hunter) Taylor on December 27, 1982; they were married for 35 years. Anita was the love of his life; he always sought to take care of her and put her first. Carl is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Shannon Taylor; his brother and sister-in-law, Elvis and Martha Taylor; and two sisters Patsy (Taylor) Carnahan and Dianna Taylor. Carl had 3 grandchildren - Chace, Addie and Avery. Carl spent his life building unrelenting relationships that lasted until his final days. His loyalty and sense of brotherhood to his friends and family was unmatched; he was the kind to give the shirt off his back to anyone and raised his son to do the same. Carl was known for his quick-wittedness and sense of humor. He was a master of one-liners and had his own humor in every situation - the most dry, unsuspecting and sometimes inappropriate situations. He brightened the room everywhere he went with his ability to make everyone lighten up and laugh. Carl spent much of his time with his son, Jeremy, working on derby cars and supporting the passions of his loved ones. He was a jack of all trades - he knew how to fix or create anything and loved teaching his trade to others. His son and his grandkids were his uttermost joy and he lived to teach them everything he knew. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2pm-6pm and Monday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., with Celebration of Life Service to follow. Officiant is Robert Hamilton. Pallbearers are Robert Hamilton, Justin Speakman, Michael Wilson, Michael Carden, Landon Jones, Daniel Barnes, Jorge Colon, Les Warren.
