Carolyn Mitchell Scott of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on January 3, 2017. Her beautiful life ended at age 78. She is survived by her husband, Garney B. Scott, Jr.; her children, Andrea Scott Pennington (Bryan) and Garney B. Scott, III (Beth Anne); six grandchildren; her brother, Jimmy Mitchell (Jennie); and her sister, Alice Mitchell Arnett (Jerry). Carolyn was active in social work and in her church in each of the many different cities where she and her family have resided. Visitation will be held at Woodmont Baptist Church on Friday, January 6, 2017, from four to seven o’clock in the evening. Funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at eleven o’clock in the morning; interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
