YORK, Charles T. (Chuck) of Brentwood, TN passed to heaven May 7, 2013. Preceded in death by parents Dennis and Ida McCay York; brothers Dennis Leon, John (Rudy), and James York. Survived by wife of 58 years, Kay Leatherwood York, son Thomas Andrew (Mary Glynn Williamson) York, and daughter, Teresa (Robert) Diaz, grandchildren, Sam (Emily) Tucker and Sara Tucker. Sister, Margaret (Tom) Murphy, sister-in-law Mary Murphy York, and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was a graduate of Father Ryan High school. He retired from WSMV-TV in 2000 with 45 years of service. He loved Andy and Teri and all his family and friends, his country, golf and life. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, May 10, 2013 at St. Edward Catholic Church with visitation 1 hr. prior to service. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Nephews and grandson will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203.
