

She was born on December 2, 1930, in Athens, Alabama, the daughter of the late Dee Witt and Donnie Mae Furline. She was a faithful member of Donelson Church of Christ and First Baptist Church of Hermitage. Mrs. Taft was a loving wife, mother, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Taft; four brothers, Eldridge, Harold, Price, and Donald Furline, and two sisters, Mary Walker and Dorothy Jennette.
She is survived by her son, David M. Taft and his wife, Lynn; two grandchildren, Emily Wood and her husband, Jack, and Eric Taft and his wife, Hilary; great grandson, Ethan Wood, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and also on Monday, March 27, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Hermitage from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
The Celebration of Life Service will be on Monday, March 27, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Hermitage at 11:00 am with David Taft, Minister and Frank Batson, Minister officiating.
Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Hermitage, 3824 Central Pike, Hermitage, Tennessee 37076, or to a charity of your choice.
