Connie will always be remembered for her devoted love of Christ and her kindred spirit shall forever be etched in the hearts of those who were blessed enough to have known her. Connie lived the life of a true Christian, never straying from her devotion to Jesus Christ. In times of trouble and toil or times of peace and joy she was always quick to pray and slow to anger. She had three rambunctious boys and one beautiful daughter, so Connie prayed a lot! The Lord blessed her with a beautiful singing voice. Connie loved to sing gospel hymns. Sometimes at church those around her would stop singing, just so they could hear her voice. When Connie sang those around her could feel the warmth and joy in their hearts.
Connie was showered with kisses, hugs and “I love you” every time her children and grandchildren saw her.
Connie was born May 16, 1948 in Decatur, Illinois to Ezra Proffitt and Bernetta Proffitt (Crowe)
