He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Barbara S. of Algood, TN; daughter Vicki Venrick Boggs; grandchildren Leslie Boggs, Kevin Boggs (Rebecca), and Thomas Treanor; and, great grandson Jake. He was preceded in death by daughter Marcie Gayle Venrick, brother Mark Leslie Venrick, and sisters-in-law Lynn and Nancy.
David attended Peabody Demonstration School and Tennessee Tech University. He had a long, successful career in the banking industry. He volunteered extensively with the Special Olympics Tennessee and was a member of the Green Hills Civitan Club. He loved music, mall walking, and all things involving Tennessee sports teams.
David will be laid to rest in the Great Cross Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln., Nashville, TN. No public services are planned. The family wishes to thank those who assisted with David’s care over the last 18 months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to the Special Olympics Tennessee or to a charity of your choice.
