Douglass Fox Morgan, age 70, born on January 27, 1950 to Frances Erline Fox Morgan and Roy Elliott Morgan in Nashville, Tennessee passed away on September 30, 2020. Doug is survived by children, Brian A. Morgan, Samuel (Cory) Morgan (Julie), and Joshua B. Morgan (Jen); grandchildren, Lucas A. Morgan, Emma A. Morgan, and Ella A. Morgan; and siblings, David R. Morgan (Debbie), Donald S. Morgan (Suzanne), Dianne L. Hill (Wallace), and Danny L. Morgan.
Doug received his Bachelors from Middle Tennessee State University. He worked as a Metro school teacher for 33 years. He was hardworking and had a joyful heart. Doug was very thrifty and loved negotiating with vendors at flea markets and garage sales. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves and Vanderbilt sporting events. Doug’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from noon until three o’clock. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at three o’clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alive Hospice in memory of Doug.
