

Raymond graduated from Isaac Litton High School in Nashville before attending Belmont College for his undergraduate studies. He then earned both his master’s and doctorate degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
On September 8, 1951, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Snell Langlois. Together, they shared a beautiful life, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Raymond dedicated his life to serving as a Southern Baptist minister. He served as the pastor of Judson Baptist Church from 1971 until 1993 and, after retirement, fulfilled numerous interim pastorates throughout the South. He had a passion for sports, enjoying handball, golf, and tennis, and he loved to study and learn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Snell Langlois; his sons, Mark Raymond Langlois (Robin), and Joel Wade Langlois; his grandson’s, Jeremy Raymond Langlois (Lora) and Wesley Robert Langlois. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna, and James Raymond; and his two sisters, Mary Langlois and Betty Garner. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Norman Langlois, and his sister, Anna Frances Heimberg.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. The service will take place the following day, Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Judson Baptist Church, 4900 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220 officiated by Dr. Earnest Standerfer. A visitation will be held one hour before the service, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Raymond's legacy of faith, love, and dedication to family and community will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
