Edward L. Strasser Jr. (Eddie) age 81 of Donelson, TN passed away July 18, 2015. Eddie served in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry honor guard. He was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer in Davidson and Robertson County and an active leader in county Agricultural Boards.

Preceded in death by his wife, Sue Strasser and brothers, Bill and John Strasser.

He is survived by his son, Bob Strasser (Deborah); daughter, Carol Spence (Bill); son, Jim Strasser; granddaughters, Laura Spence and Emily Spence and Olivia Strasser.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Sisters of Mercy Convent, 2629 Pennington Bend Rd. with the Revered Phillip Halladay officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with Steve Baltz, Gerry Greer, Ben Rigby, Jackie McCrary, Bill Spence, Bob Strasser, Jim Strasser, Laura Spence, Emily Spence and Edward Tilley serving as Active Pallbearers. The Davidson Farmers CO-OP staff and board members (past and present) , Davidson and Robertson Farm Service Agency staff and committee members (past and present), Mike Boone, Norman Kotlewski, Roger Steveson, and Larry Tucker will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday all at the funeral home.
