

Emma Dymple Cox age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Emma was born in Blountsville Alabama on October 21, 1938. Daughter of the late Clark and Vanna Copeland and the sister of the late Virginia Cornelus. Emma Dymple went on to marry the love of her life of 64 years, Jerry Cox. They made the big move to Nashville, TN in 1967, where her husband would make a career in the production side of the country music and entertainment industry. Emma owned and operated Jack and Jill Family Day Care for more than 40 years. She took care of and loved many children throughout the years.
Emma enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and being with her family. She enjoyed fishing alongside her husband, boating for many years on their houseboat, and vacationing at the beach. She loved to play Bingo with her daughter and she loved country music. George Jones is her absolute favorite artist.
Emma is survived by her husband Jerry; her beloved daughter, Gina Raybourn and her son-in-law Mike, whom she loved like a son. Her precious grandchildren, Savannah Stepp and Devin Raybourn and her cherished great granddaughter Sanya Emma Stepp.
A visitation for Emma will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. The committal service at Mount Olivet Cemetery will immediately follow after the funeral.
