Ernest was a supervisor at AVCO Aerostructures now known as Textron Aerostructures for 35 years. He attended Town Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN. Ernest loved the outdoors especially shooting skeet, going to turkey shoots and spending time on his cabin cruiser boat on the lake. He also enjoyed going to Florida with his family on vacations. He was a dedicated family man and loved his family dearly. He will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him.
Ernest is predeceased by his wife Shirley, by his daughter Cynthia Kaye Scott and by his brother and sisters, Lela Mae Paris and her husband Doyle Paris, Andrew Rose and his wife Frances and Mildred Rose Drennon and her husband Junior.
Ernest is survived by his children; Tony Rose and his wife Dana and Carlynne Foster and her husband Gary, by his 5 grandchildren; Shelby Journey, Adam Scott and his wife Christine, Charles Rose, Ashlee Rose and her fiancé Ameer Langston and Tyler Hudgins and by his great grandson Nathan Scott and his great granddaughter Ali Scott.
A visitation for Ernest will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN 37214 with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at SpringHill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike S., Nashville, TN 37216.
