BURNETT, Ethel Blackburn Newkirk age 86 of Nashville, TN passed away August 26, 2013. Born in Unionville, TN November 15, 1926. She was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School and a member of Hickory Bend United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She loved her family and friends.Preceded in death by her husband, Eddie B. Newkirk; parents, Leslie and Nellie M. Blackburn; sisters, Martha Holton and Joan Rollins. Survived by her husband, Henry A. Burnett; sister, Patsy Burns; children, Evonne, Eddie, Ellis, and Ann; grandchildren, Dustin, Brett, Loni, Michael, Matthew, Bryce, Braeden, and Brianna. A Funeral service will be conducted 10am Thursday, August 29, 2013 with Rev. Susan Gray officiating at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 5pm until 8pm and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
