

She was born in Columbia, TN on December 18, 1913 to the late John Richard and Eula Morton Harrison.
“Dutt” as she was affectionately called was preceded in death by her husband Floyd C. Moore in 1995, after 60 years of marriage. She was the beloved mother of Dr. Miriam F. Moore who also preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by three beloved nieces and three beloved nephews.
She was a direct descendant of two of the founders of Nashville, Edward Swanson and William Harrison in 1779 and 1780. The ante-bellum home of William Harrison (her grandfather) in Williamson County, built in 1840 still stands and is occupied. It is one of the landmarks of Williamson County, being on the Registry of Historical Homes.
She was an avid student of the bible and member of Andrew Price Methodist Church for over 50 years and later joined St. Stephens Catholic Community following in the steps of her beloved daughter, Miriam. She was a life member of the Women’s club of Nashville, a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution for over 40 years, Fort Nashborough Chapter, The Colonial Dames of America, chapter 7, The Daughters of 1812, The Magna Charta Dames, The Virginia Association, The Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, The Ladies of Hermitage Association and Cheekwood.
She traveled extensively abroad and at home, pursuing her life-long interest in diverse cultures.
With much love and devotion, she always made her family her first priority.
Visitation will be held at ten o’ clock in the morning until twelve with a cryptside service to follow on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
