Evelyn O’Neal Patterson, age 94, passed away on June 7, 2015. Mrs. Patterson was a loving mother and homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Patterson, whom she was married to for 65 years, and a son, William “Neal” Patterson, who died suddenly in 1983. Mrs. Patterson was born in Chattanooga, TN, October 23, 1920. She was the only child of Edith and Esper O’Neal. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and graduated from Chattanooga High School. Upon graduation from Chattanooga’s Edmonson School of Business, Evelyn was one of the earliest employees hired at Krystal’s corporate headquarters where she worked until 1944. She and her family moved to Nashville in 1963 where she became an active member at First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her brother-n-law, W. L. Patterson (Maxine); nieces, Darlene Davis (Steve) and Donna Haddock; nephews, Ken Roy and Dan Norris; great-niece, Stephanie and great nephew, Ryan. Graveside service will be held at ten o'clock in the morning on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.
