Frances Sterry Jeannette

Frances Sterry Jeannette, age 97 of Nashville, Tennessee departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020.  She was born in the Neptune Community of Cheatham County, Tennessee on May 4, 1923 to the late Sidney Turney Sterry and Jessie Virginia Harris Sterry.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Clayton Jeannette, and a sister, Irene Olive.  Frances was a woman always on the go and enjoyed being active.  She truly loved to spend time with family and time at her church.  Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a 77 year member of Nashville First Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her son, Ron Jeannette (Joanie) of Nashville and daughter, Sandy Grinde (Stephen) of Nashville;  seven grandchildren,  Kelly Jeannette Wilson (Rick), Brian Jeannette, Jason Jeannette, Patrick Jeannette, Morgan York, Cameron York (Jayne), Emily York Dean (Joey); ten great-grandchildren, Meg Wilson Moore (Jake), Abby Wilson, Clayton York, Olivia York, Miles York, Georgia York, Preston Dean, Emmaline Dean, Molly Dean, and Max Dean ; Sister, Louise Major.

A private family service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020,  at First Baptist Church, 108 7th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203.  The service will be streamed live for all others at 1:00 pm  @ Nashvillefirst.org . 

There will be a private family Committal Service to be held at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, where Frances will be reunited with her husband Clayton.
