

Frank Edward Stafford, Jr. passed away on November 18, 2017. He was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on June 7, 1936. He graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1958 with his finance degree. Following his service in the Air National Guard he began his career at Third National Bank in Nashville. He went on to start an employment agency Snelling and Snelling, built dialysis clinics, and served those impacted by natural disaster with the SBA. In 2001, he moved with his wife Carolyn to Fernandina Beach, Florida where he enjoyed a second career in real estate and home appraisal. While in Florida he served as the Treasurer of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed being part of the Sea Turtle Watch team. He is survived by his children Frank Stafford, Sarah Mercado and Kevin Finnegan, their spouses Amy Stafford, A.J. Mercado, and Mary Finnegan, eight grandchildren Harrison, Tyler, Dyana and husband Gus, Axxel, Scout, Bella, Erin and Kelly, and one great grandchild, Nena. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Stafford, and parents Frank and Katharine Stafford.
Visitation at Marshall-Donnelly-Coombs Funeral home Monday November 20, 4-7 PM. A graveside service will be celebrated at Greenwood Cemetary in Clarksville, Tennessee on November 21 at 1pm. Eulogy will be given by Frank’s oldest and dearest friend, T.O. Lashlee of Humboldt, Tennessee.
