Fred Meador

Fred Randall Meador, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born in Lafayette, Tennessee and a long time resident of Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Oal Forrest Meador and the late Ruth Paulene Parker Meador.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger. Survivors include: wife-Maria Meador of Nashville. Two daughters: Krickett Tankersley of Franklin and Cendy D’Onofrio of Nashville and two grandsons Brandon Tankersley and Dain R. Rierson. And a very special friend Gail Meador of Nashville. Two brothers – Wayne and Ruby Meador of LaFayette, Gordon and Ruth Meador of Lafayette, three sisters-Wilma McMillan of Murfreesboro, Gwen and Billy Smith of Dixon Springs, and Shirlan Meador of Lafayette, sister – law- Doris Meador of Smyrna. And a host of nieces and nephews.

Fred was a barber for many years as well as an instructor. Services will be held 1pm Friday at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral home with Pastor Joel Coleman officiating. Interment to be held at Macon County Memorial Gardens with nephews serving as pall bearerers. Visitation with the family will be from 4-8pm Thursday and Friday 10am until time of service.
